I remembered to write stuff down this month!! WOOO HOOO!!! ;)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Joshua - Boboton should be the name of a planet.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Colin has a new found love of Babybel Cheese. He also likes using the net on his head. He looks like a lunch lady!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We have gone through about 5 electric can openers in the past couple of years. Instead of buying yet another one I got a manual can opener instead. I left it out and asked Deanna to open some cans for me. Hee hee hee hee!! It took her FOREVER to figure out how it works!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Deanna and I were watching TV.

Me - That was D-U-M-B.

Deanna - What? I don't get it.

Me - You know... Dumb, D-U-M-B.

Deanna - Oh! I thought it was a new acronym and I just didn't know it yet!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Evil Hank Jr
THIS was something The Hubby picked up at a used book store. SIGH... For the full story check out my Use Your Words post.
Believe me, THAT'S a story you don't want to miss! ;)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Butterflies

We've been studying butterflies this month and having a lot of fun (for more on the butterflies click HERE ).

When they finished making their chrysalides , their butts were hanging out. Completely freaked Colin out.

Colin - EWWW!! They lost their butts!! Their BUTTS!!!!!!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I over hear a conversation between Joshua and Deanna. I think I should be worried.
Deanna - Who would you put in a well?
Joshua - What????
Deanna - Y'know, like on "Silence of the Lambs"??  'It puts the lotion on its skin or it gets the hose again.'
Joshua - Uh, no one!!!
Deanna - There has to be SOMEONE!!
Joshua - Well, who would YOU put in a well??
Deanna - For like Niall from One Direction. For dislike, that annoying guy that says YEP on "Storage Wars". (insert evil laugh here)
Joshua - Oh, well....... Maybe Will Smith.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Colin - Are Q and O brothers?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We are doing our normal, weekly shopping at Kroger. We have the normal, usual 2 buggies full.
I am trying to make the bagger understand that he doesn't have to try to fit everything into one buggy because it's just not going to work.
The cashier pipes up and gets him to listen. He then turns to me and says, "What is this, like a month's worth?"
Me - Umm... No, it's like a week's worth.....
The look on his face was PRICELESS. It never gets old... LOL
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

We did a bunch of crafts on Monday for St. Patrick's Day.

3D Shamrocks Collage

3 D Shamrocks - tutorial HERE

Leprechaun Houses Collage

We made leprechaun houses out of the boxes I won from Pick Your Plum.

I had to make finger paint... All of our paint brushes are missing!!!

I used 1 cup of flour and added water until I liked the consistency. Then I added a few drops of green food coloring.

Shamrock Collage

Tissue paper shamrocks.

Merrows by Cailey Pooka by Colin

We read Magic Tree House : Leprechauns and Irish Folklore : Research Guide

Then I asked Cailey and Colin to pick their favorite fairy and draw it.

St. Patrick's Day Breakfast

And that is what we had for breakfast! Green orange juice and green pancakes! The kids LOVED them!!!

There you go! The past month in our house. :D

Don't forget to check out all the AMAZING bloggers participating this  month!

    Yeah, I was waiting on them to say me, too! LOL Especially Deanna! ;)
    We have always gotten crazy looks and comments from checkers. Usually when I see the look I explain that there are 8 of us! LOL

  3. LOL, I'm sitting here picturing your kids, one with a Babybell hair net and the other trying to use a manual can opener. Great visual!

  4. I swear, it must be a Kroger thing, where the baggers are dense! I happens at the Kroger here too. Drives me nuts!

    I love all your crafts. Girl Child would probably put Zayn in the well (he's from 1D). I agree with both of the dislikes. lol

  5. I used the green too early this year. We had green eggs and ham on Dr Seuss' birthday...
    I love that your kids can have a convo o who to put in a well. Of course everyone needs their like and dislike person :) The crafts are too cute. I do, however, need to now see the picture of your son with the lunch lady net on his hair. hahahaha!

  10. Oooh, you're getting my crafty urges going. I loved the 3-D shamrocks. I'll have to pin that for next year. Can you recreate the Babybel lunch lady thing? I think we'd all love to see that!

  11. I love your Fly posts!
    You are such a fun mom to make such an awesome St. Patty's breakfast!
    Such cute crafts to do!
    No luck with electric can openers here either. We have 3 manual ones now and the kids still ask me to do it for them.
    I'm totally with Colin, when things lose their butts, it tends to freak me out too.

  16. Oh my gosh... Silence of the Lambs was on TV recently, then we watched The Fast and the Furious. I couldn't stop saying that line for days! I wouldn't worry about it, unless they start digging a well...

    I wanted an electric can opener bad, so a friend got me one for Christmas a couple years ago. I can't get the darn thing to work... but my husband can. I should just go back to the manual ones.

  17. Who would you put in a well!!!!! Hilarious!! That is gonna be my new question!
