USE YOUR WORDS!! March 2014

Today’s post is a writing challenge. This is how it works: participating bloggers picked 4 – 6 words or short phrases for someone else to craft into a post. All words must be used at least once and all the posts will be unique as each writer has received their own set of words. That’s the challenge, here’s a fun twist; no one who’s participating knows who got their words and in what direction the writer will take them. Until now.

At the end of this post you’ll find links to the other blogs featuring this challenge. Check them all out, see what words they got and how they used them.

I’m using:    Animatronic ~ taco(s) ~ armor ~ good luck ~ rise of the machines

They were submitted by: http://www.someoneelsesgenius.com

I thought that I would be doing a lot some fiction writing for this blog series. LOL My life, stranger than fiction....

We had been having a day out in Nashville, driving around and having fun. We were on the way home. I thought that maybe we would stop for tacos or something but other than that we were pretty much done.

Oh, how wrong I was.

The Hubby decided to stop at the greatest used book store EVER and usually that's a good thing for me. This time, however, I decided to wait it out in the van with Cailey and Colin (Colin always loses his mind in this store).

That was my big mistake.

The Hubby comes out with THIS---

Evil Hank Jr

An animatronic Hank Williams, Jr. It sings! It dances! It frightens children! It's terrible.

Seriously. This thing FREAKS ME OUT!!!!! And not only me! Cailey, Colin, Deanna, the cats! We all get the willies when we catch this thing looking at us!

Every time I see it out of the corner of my eye I swear it's LOOKING RIGHT AT ME with that creepy smile!

I have flash backs to the movie Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. I keep expecting to wake up in the middle of the night with this thing looming over me with a knife!

It's giving me nightmares!!!

I've been trying to talk The Hubby into getting rid of it. Wish me good luck!!!

The guys and their purchases.... Jacob and his buddy are now into sword collecting. SIGH... I even heard Jacob complain the other day about not being able to find a life size suit of armor. People, I couldn't make this stuff up if I tried.

Again, my life, stranger than fiction.

PS The Hubby has given the Evil Hank Jr thing to his friend!! YIPPEE!!! We can sleep easier now! Maybe I should apologize to the friend's wife????

Now, be sure to check out the marvelous bloggers that have joined up!!!

That is definitely a creepy character, so glad you got rid of it.
Maybe you could bring cupcakes to that friend's wife one of these days?

  10. Oh, good idea, Tamara! But I'm not sure cupcakes alone would be enough... Maybe if I added a little money... LOL
