ReplyDeleteI once rented a car from "dirt & cheap", no joke! It was a car rental company in San Diego, actually it looks like they still exist: http://www.dirtcheapcarrental.com/
They had old cars that were still running, kind of. Mine made a few strange sounds, but was otherwise fine. They advised me to use a pantyhose if the fan-belt broke. I was fine. Except at night the radio reception was really, really bad. It took me a couple of days until I found out why: when it was dark, and I switched on the lights, the radio reception went bad. Can't have it all ;-)
