Well, I'm pretty sure a fly would have been bored to tears at my house this month. :/ We haven't really been doing much of anything. 

We're done with school. We just finished testing this week. 

It's too hot to do anything outside or go anywhere. SIGH..

We were having a nice cool spring then out of nowhere the gates of hell open up and spew out this heat!!! BLECK!!!!!!!!! Make it go away!!!!!!! How long until fall????

Anyway, here are a few pictures of what we did manage to do.

The girls got new glasses. Deanna won't let me take a picture of her. :/ 

All I can say is, thank goodness for good vision insurance because my girls have expensive taste! Cailey picked some cute Kate Spade frames and Deanna picked Dolce and Gabbana!! YEESH!!! glasses. 

7-11 has new Slurpee straws! YAY! Last year it was mustaches, this year it's animal faces! 

We got some swimming in!! YAY!!! 

We have some friends that just moved down here. They are staying in the same hotel we stayed in last year. Love that pool! ;) 

We rescued an orphaned raccoon.

It was soooo cute and tiny!!!

We gave it to some friends that have done that sort of thing before. There's just no way that I would have to time. That little booger was eating non-stop! LOL 

I found a CHEAP rock painting kit at Barnes & Noble. The kids had a lot of fun with it. 

So, that's about it. Pretty boring around here. ;) 

Well, there's one more thing... Deanna has now gone on her first date (and 2nd and 3rd). SO MUCH hilarity ensued but I don't think she would appreciate me repeating much of it. Although Jacob talking about a machete was pretty funny... 

I WILL tell you one thing that Colin said. "What? Deanna's dating? No way. Nuh, uh... We have enough family members! We have way too many people in this house as it is!" I said, "Buddy, she's just going on a date. She's not getting married. He's not moving in."

Tom was an average guy living an average life. 
He had a good but boring job. He lived in a nice but boring house. 
Tom lived by routine. He got up at 6 am every single day. He would get dressed in the same button downs and navy slacks. He would have the same oatmeal for breakfast. 
Same, same, same, boring, boring, boring. 
One morning shortly before his 38th birthday Tom managed to get a really good look in the mirror. The response was immediate. 
Was that him?? When did his hair start graying and thinning?? And are those wrinkles forming around his eyes???
He felt as if he was against a wall. 
What happened? It seemed as if he was awaking from a dream! 
He decided then and there that he was making a change!
He called into work. He had never missed a single day! Well, now he was cashing in that vacation time!
He was heading out on an adventure!!! CHARGE!!!!!!
He was going to California to fulfill a childhood dream. He was going to learn to surf!!
Sure, surfing was all Greek to him but he was certain he could pick it up in no time.
He's all set! He has everything he needs! 
He sits back and watches the surfers. He thinks he has the gist of it. 
He decides to head out into the water. 
He's paddling out like nobody's business. 
Wait! What is that?? Is it a sea turtle??
It IS a sea turtle! 
Tom stops and tries to pet it. 
BLOOD FLOW!!!!! Blood spurting!!! 
OMG!! SO MUCH BLOOD!!!!
While he was focusing on the turtle SOMETHING bit him!!!!
That's it! He's done! 
Out of the water! 
Off to the ER. 
A few stitches later he is on his way back home. 
Routine is good he thinks. 
Boring works well for him.

My subject is SUMMER TIME... you won the lottery, well sort of, your best friend just moved and has an inground pool. You rush over with your ___ and ___ and y'all ____

Oh, my.... Let me start by saying this, any friend of mine that gets an in-ground pool had just better be prepared. I will be over ALL the time. I will even show up if you're not home. Shoot, I might even pitch a tent in your yard!!!!! 

The ONLY good thing about summer is swimming. Ok, the break from daily homeschooling is good, too.... But SWIMMING!!!!!!!

I will swim just about anywhere in just about anything. Seriously. 

So, I would rush over with my BOOKS and my KIDS and we would have a reading and swimming party!!! 

Man. Who's playing the lottery this weekend??? 

Almost makes me want to move again so we could spend another month in a hotel with a pool... 

ALMOST... 

Anyone want to donate $1500 so we can join the local pool???

Hi, everyone!! I know, I know... I haven't been around much lately. Give me about a month and I promise I will be back to posting like normal. I miss it. :(

Anyway, here's another edition of Fly on the Wall for your enjoyment!

We were taking a very long road trip and trying not to be bored so we were playing a game on Deanna's tablet. I think it was the DK Quiz Game. Anyway, I was driving, Deanna was reading the questions (multiple choice) and Joshua and I were trying to guess the answers.

She asked a question and then said all of this : zaggamaggataggaquagga

Joshua thought that was all one choice and hilarity ensued. Maybe you just had to be there. Or maybe we were just overly tired....

So we are staying in a hotel for a while and you know how the phones are, the old push button types. I wish I could have taken a video of Deanna trying to figure it all out! PRICELESS!!! 

Deanna - You have to put this part back down on the those things in order to use the phone again!!!

We were in the hotel room for only a couple of hours and had to call maintenance twice.

1st time - Colin put a Wii game in the safe and we couldn't get it open.

2nd time - Colin clogged up the toilet.

He has clogged it up at least 3 more times since then....

Cailey - Men are like wild monkeys.

Yes, dear they are.... Although, she never said WHY she thought that.

We were at the pool with some friends of ours when I commented on how bad Deanna's breath was. 

Me - What did you EAT?? My gosh!

Deanna - It's not that bad!

Me - Oh, yes it is!

Deanna - Will someone smell my breath??

Nicky - I will...... OMG! Sami, it smells like that sock you found at the bottom of the lake!

Deanna - Colin, wake up!

Colin - I wasn't asleep.

Deanna - Then you heard the awesome things we were talking about.

Colin - No, I guess I was asleep.

The wifi here is TERRIBLE!!! It's giving me such a headache!!
