Ireland and St Patrick Unit Study
I plan on starting an Ireland/St. Patrick unit the week before St. Patrick's Day and continuing the week after.
All the resources I use are either free or cheap.
The one thing I use for country studies that isn't free or very cheap is Little Passports. Also, when we lived in Virginia I would run out to World Market and grab things from the country we were going to study next. I MISS THAT!!!!

My favorite Country! I have a huge Irish dog ans lots of Irish ancestors! Your kids are so lucky to have you working so hard on their education!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Pam!!! :D
ReplyDeleteWe love Ireland!:) Here are some of the resource I used to teach my kids about Ireland: http://kidworldcitizen.org/category/europe/ireland/ There's a recipe for scones, an Irish movie, books, and a lesson/craft about Irish sheep. We got to visit Ireland for 2 weeks when my 8 year old was only 2, and fell in love with the country!:)
ReplyDeleteWOW!! I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to go to Ireland!! It's at the top of my bucket list! ;)
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU so much for sharing your resources!!!! :D
I love St. Patrick's Day. Every year we have an Irish dinner with the traditional corned beef, cabbage, red potatoes and soda bread washed down with some ale. It's a rather simple meal, but delicious. And Irish music, of course.
ReplyDeleteSounds GREAT!!!
ReplyDeleteWe always have nearly the same meal! LOL
