My subject is “What is your favorite Halloween memory? ”. It was submitted by http://www.thatsuburbanmomma.com/ .
Here goes:
YILES!!!! My favorite Halloween memory?? Oh, boy... I have been thinking and thinking and thinking about this one since I found out that it was going to be my subject. I have come up with exactly NOTHING! LOL It's not that I haven't had good Halloweens, it's that I just can't think of a reallllly, realllllly stand out memory except for the first Halloweens of each of my children. LOL I really liked the 3 Halloweens that I went as Princess Leia (once from each movie). Then there were the 2 awesome homemade costumes, one was a pumpkin when I was about 3 made by my Grandma Painter and the other was a pretty fairy costume made by my Grandma Blevins.
Now, if it's CRAPPY Halloween memories, I have a few of THOSE that stand out!! LOL
One Halloween when I was about 10 I decided to go as a devil. Now, this was before they had the cute girly devil costumes. Oh, no! They had the regular old kind. AND I had a short hair cut a la Mary Lou Retton.
Can you see where I'm going with this??
Anyway, I went to a Halloween party and no one recognized me. They all thought I was a BOY!!!!!!!! I was sooooo upset!! I cried and cried. I called my mom to come get me early. After that I made sure to always go as something girly! LOL And I let my hair grow back out. LOL
There were a couple of Halloweens much worse than that but I don't want to depress you so we'll just skip those, K???? LOL
Anyway, to keep you all from being completely bored by my lame post I will post some awesome pictures and cartoons! ;)
OOH!!! I almost forgot!!! I took some pictures of Deanna and myself in Halloween makeup!
Me..... LOL
I LOOOOOVE those fake eyelashes!!!
Deanna. Too bad you can't see her fangs that well!!!
I still can't believe she let me take a picture of her!
So, why don't you all go check out the other blogs, they are bound to have something MUCH better than my post... ;)

You poor thing, I would have cried and cried too. You sure have outdone yourself this year though, those eyes! Stop putting yourself down, this was a great post!
ReplyDeleteUhgg! I had so many "who is this nice young fella" encounters - I think my Mom's insistence that I have short hair when a child scarred me for life!
ReplyDeleteLove how you handled this prompt when it was tricky for you! I have had so much fun in my first Secret Sunject Swap! :)
Stacy, that eye makeup is fantastic!! I love your Halloween memories. I think I may have repressed mine. Didn't we all have Mary Lou Retton/ Dorothy Hamill hair at one time? Your cartoons are too cute. I especially like the first one. Great job on the prompt. Happy Weekend, you!
ReplyDeleteI had Mary Lout Retton hair once too...but wait for it.....it was also permed. I looked like a poodle. We can be sad together. :)
ReplyDeleteTHANKS, Kat!!!! I will be checking yours out!! ;)
ReplyDeleteAWW!!! Thank you, Karen!!!! I was so afraid that it would fall flat. LOL
ReplyDeleteThank you SOOOO much!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteSo glad, I wasn't the only one that attempted that 'do! LOL
ROFLOL!!!! Thanks, Kelly!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThis was a great post! And, I now want a tiny bite sized kitten. What kind of make up did you use for the costumes? Looked gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteTracy @ Momaical
LOL!!! Thanks!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt was just the regular cheap stuff you find at Walmart with the Halloween stuff. It was a lot fun, though. ;)
wow! That is an awesome getup!!
ReplyDeleteROFL! Thanks!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI feel your pain, I too have had awful boy haircuts when I was younger and hated it.It was too traumatic. I love the eye makeup you did...very festive.
ReplyDeleteNot lame at all! I loved the funny Halloween pics and your make up looked fantastic!
ReplyDeleteTHANKS, Karen!!!!
ReplyDeleteI think those cuts should be outlawed! LOL
THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteEveryone did such an AWESOME job with their prompts!
YES! they should.
ReplyDeleteOh, I think it was a great post! The costumes from your childhood sound amazing! I LOVE that you added your bad Halloween memory, that would have been a much better prompt for me to give! Your makeup this your looked awesome! Just love the lashes!! Is that your daughter? Love the matching colors. :)
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU!!!!!!!!! :D
ReplyDeleteYep, that's my oldest daughter. I did her makeup and then decided I really should do something to my face. It was scary enough as it was but putting that stuff on was so much fun! LOL
We didn't celebrate Halloween when I was a kid, and even though my kids have always dressed up, this would have been hard for me too! I thought you did a great job and I love the pics :-)
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU!!!!! :)
ReplyDeleteI loved your makeup! It is is great. Great post!
