Funny Friday - October 2014

October Funny Friday

Today’s post is October’s Funny Friday,, a regular feature published on the last Friday of every month. Funny Friday is a collaborative project. Each month one of the participants submits a picture, then we all write 5 captions or thoughts inspired by that month’s picture. Links to the other bloggers’ posts are below, click on them and see what they’ve come up with. I hope we bring a smile to your face as you start your weekend.

1. Looks like Harry Potter got mad at his uncle this time.

2. This time Humpty took a flying leap off the wall.

3. Oh, no! I'm getting carried away!

4. And they said the sling shot ride was safe!

5. That was the last time Humpty jumped on a trampoline.

At some point I had a list for this month. I swear I did!!! But it has gone missing. ARGH!!! This may be a short post......

******************************************

Cailey - I saw a rake, a baseball bat and a shovel... Not sure what those people were doing.

******************************************

Deanna and I were in Kroger last week. I pointed out the pumpkin muffins to her.
She makes this loud, shrill, intake of breath sound.
The guy stocking the dairy section turns around with a very concerned look on his very twitchy face.
I assure him that she is OK. Everything is OK. Really.

******************************************

Deanna and I were sitting in the van in the driveway after the Kroger incident and we were discussing Cailey's comment from last month where we were reminded of QWOP.
Deanna starts QWOPing in the front seat.
We are laughing hysterically when we look up (at the same time) and realize that there's a man in a truck across the street staring at us.

******************************************

Cailey - Everything has a heart except zombies, jellyfish and lawyers.

*****************************************

Deanna accidentally bumps into Colin, knocking him down.
Deanna - I'm so sorry.
Colin - It's OK. It's not your fault you have a big butt.

******************************************

Deanna - I'm not going to need numbers! I'm going to be a psychologist!

Cailey - Oh, yeah??? Ms. B, I have a fear of numbers!

******************************************

Cailey watching a cartoon - Well, that was anti-climatic.

******************************************

Our Week in Review - Pumpkins and an Eclipse

Well, we didn't actually do much this week. I wasn't feeling very well (fibro, toothache and earache). We didn't go to our classes this week. Not only was I not feeling well but Cailey's and Colin's allergies were crazy. :(

Anyway, here is what we DID do. ;)

On Saturday my friend and I took all of the little kids to the park to paint pumpkins. They loved it!!

                Those are their masterpieces!

I am always up at 3 am at least 6 days a week (I hate it!!). So I was more than prepared to see the lunar eclipse. BUT that was the site I was greeted with! I just knew we were going to miss it!!!

Thankfully the skies cleared. I tried to wake all the kids up but only Cailey and Colin would get up.

They thought it was the coolest thing ever!!!

Afterwards I sent them back to sleep and they slept until about 10! LOL

We spent the rest of the day reading about the moon. Their favorite book was The Best Book of the Moon. It covered everything!!!

I wanted to show you all this. Know what it is??? My grocery store receipt. Yep. It's taller than Deanna and she's 5'2"! This is for 2 weeks. Well, not exactly 2 weeks. I will have to go back a few more times for snacks and milk... And bread... And..... And....

One more picture from this week!

                     HAVE FUN LEARNING!!!!

Sooooo, this month has been rather dull. NOT one single person has done ANYTHING remotely silly or funny. WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON AROUND HERE????? Maybe they are just getting better at hiding it from me??? Maybe we have the 6 weeks of school burn out???? Not sure but something HAS to change!!!

Don't worry, I do have something to post, although it's not our normal craziness.... Instead I have CUPCAKES!!! Hmmm, that might be even better than our normal craziness.

Cupcake Days 5

First we made zombie cupcakes from a kit we got at World Market.  A word to the wise, make sure you have powered sugar.... The green stuff that comes with it is NOT powdered sugar and the icing will taste like dog doo.... Yep. Definitely BLECK!!!!

Cupcake Days 10

Cupcake Days 11

Next we made Jack Skellington cupcakes! These were so much fun!!! And since the icing was store bough, they were very good! LOL

I used a regular chocolate cake mix and cream cheese icing. Then I used black Wilton Sparkle Gel to draw on the features.

Cupcake Days 12

Last we make Jack O'Lantern cupcakes! I used food coloring to make the cream cheese icing orange and the same black Wilton Sparkle Gel for the features.

What was your favorite thing to imagine as a child?

It was submitted by: dates2diapers2.blogspot.com

I was an only child so I had LOTS of time to play by myself. Most of that time was spent in imaginary worlds. When I got the chance to play with my cousins, I would try to drag them into those worlds as well.

The very first thing that I can remember ever imagining on a regular basis  was WONDER WOMAN!!! Complete with Underoos and yellow jump rope!

(pic from Wikipedia)

No one else was allowed to be Wonder Woman. *I* was Wonder Woman!!!!!

Now, tell the truth! Nothing but the truth!!

I was also obsessed with Charlie's Angels. I wanted to be Sabrina!!

(Wikipedia)

For my 4th Birthday I received a Sabrina doll and I was in HEAVEN!!!!!

Then I discovered reading....... I became Laura Ingalls! My cousin and I were ALWAYS arguing over who got to be Laura. Neither of us wanted to be that goody-two-shoes Mary. Although, our behavior was more reminiscent of Nelly.

In between I was Clara Barton or Amelia Earhart. Whatever book I was reading at the time. Although, I always went back to either Wonder Woman or Laura Ingalls.

All in all I think I see a pattern here. LOL I wanted to be a strong woman. Most of them are easy to see but if you think about it, living on the prairie and putting up with Nelly wasn't easy! ;)

PLEASE, go check out all the amazing posts!!!!!
