YAY!!! It's Fly on the Wall Day!!! :D
Have you ever considered what people might think if they saw what goes on behind-the-scenes at your house? Do you ever wonder what it would be like to catch a glimpse of someone else’s daily life?
Fly on the Wall is a monthly post by a group of bloggers challenged to let our readers see what it might be like to be a fly on the wall in our homes. Each post is not a single story, but a compilation of snippets, each one its own quote or event or conversation (or disaster) strung together to provide a behind-the-scenes glimpse into our lives.
On the same day at the same time, all the participating bloggers post their Fly on the Wall submissions and link up to each other.

If you were a fly on the wall in MY house here are just a few of the crazy things you would see and hear.....
You all know that Jacob came to visit just after Christmas. Well, he talked us into playing the Logo Game. Now, don't get me wrong, it's a very fun game BUT it's A LOT more fun if someone isn't yelling out the answers that isn't even playing!!! Thanks, Hubby.... Thanks a lot... We had to keep starting the game over... I didn't think it would ever end. It finally got to the point where we had to whisper the questions to each other.
While Jacob was here the older kids and I decided to play poker. Now, I warned them ahead of time that I wasn't going to take it easy on them... LOL We were using The Hubby's cards that he got from Bass Pro. Instead of the regular face cards, these had deer on them. It came time for me to deal and I called deuces and one-eyed jacks wild. Well.... you see..... apparently ALLLL the jacks in that deck have only one eye. Deanna got so frustrated (she wasn't doing well) she yells, "You and your stupid third eye blind jacks!!!" Ummm... dear, (pun intended) Third Eye Blind is a band..... Yeah, that caused a HUGE eye roll and a couple of stomps. LOL
When Jacob visited he brought us all presents; cool knife with DAD on it for The Hubby, a deck of Yu-Gi-Oh cards for Joshua, perfume for Deanna, Yankee Candle tarts for me.... Now we get to the good stuff.... For Cailey he bought a SINGING Littlest Pet Shop... SHOOT ME PLEASE!!! And for Colin... A REMOTE CONTROL CAR. What's wrong with a remote control car you ask?? Well, he's 5 yrs old and we have 3 cats..... Yeah. THAT'S what's wrong with a remote control car.....
Remember when you were little and you thought if you couldn't see someone they couldn't see you so you would cover your face thinking you disappeared??? LOL Well, it really works! LOL I was lying across the bed the other day talking with The Hubby and Deanna. I had a headache so I put my face down in the comforter. The Hubby looked up and asked Deanna where I went. I raised my head up and yelled, "It WORKS!! It really WORKS!! You can't see me!" ROFLOL!! Apparently the color of my shirt blended perfectly with the comforter. LOL
The Hubby to me - What exactly is a Honey Boo Boo???
Me to The Hubby - Don't ask.
It may come as no surprise to find out that Joshua's favorite store in the whole wide world is GameStop. He LIVES to go there. So, the other day he still had some Christmas money that he just HAD to go spend. I talked him to waiting for The Hubby to get off work so they could go together. We pull up in front of the store and the guys get out. They are gone 2 seconds when they come back.
Me- What's up?
The Hubby - Well, I think the girl that's working has to go take a dump... She just put a sign up that said "Be back in 20 mins."
The Hubby decided he didn't want to wait so I take him home and Joshua and I go back. Let's just say that I think The Hubby was right. We walk into the store and are hit by the WORST smelling air freshener known to man and it was STRONG..... I made tracks and left Joshua to deal with it alone. LOL
Colin - Hey, Cailey! Guess what! I'm wearing clothes that don't match!!!!
Deanna - Momma!! Come look at what Cailey did!
I go and look... Cailey has some sort of perfectly round ball in her hand.
Cailey - It's a potato ball. Do you know how hard that is to do????
And possible the CRAZIEST thing to happen around here - I have started taking college courses. Just 3 to start with but OH MY GOSH! What was I thinking???? I'm taking Business 101, Business Growth and Art History. The first module in Business 101 is supposed to take 10 hours to complete. 10 HOURS!!! Plus it takes me twice as long because of all the notes I take! LOL Heaven help me.
I really hope you will go check out the other links!! They are sure to put a smile on your face!
Where are you getting your edumakasions from? lol
ReplyDeleteYour house sounds as hectic as mine.....and I have fewer kids!
Loved being a fly on the wall!
LOL!!
ReplyDeleteWell, one course is on Coursera.org and the other 2 are from Saylor.org.
I would love to see the cats and that remote control car! :-D
ReplyDeleteI am jealous that you're taking classes! I so want to go back to school!
Well, they aren't really for credit but I will get a certificate of completion from at least one of the courses. ;)
ReplyDeleteI just love hearing about your son's visit. I think it's cause I can't wait for mine to visit . . . but he has to move out first! Loved this whole thing. Thanks for starting my Friday with a laugh (actually a few).
ReplyDeleteROFLOL!!!! The Hubby feels the same way. He says he can't wait until they can alllllll come for a visit.... LOL
ReplyDeleteAnd here I thought my husband was the only man standing who didn't know who Honey Boo Boo was!!!! At least we know we've got good guys ;)
ReplyDeleteCongrats!!! I wish I was brave enough to tackle some courses.
ReplyDeleteJust remember, all annoying gifts shall be regifted when he can enjoy his children playing with them. ;) My grandchildren be given a drum set and a puppy to bring home. I figure that will make us even.
Loved it Stacy!
LOL!! So true!!!! Apparently he heard it from one of his buddies.... LOL I can't imagine how that would come up in conversation... ;)
ReplyDeleteOOOOOH! I like the way you think, Meg!! LOL
ReplyDeleteWhat IS a honey boo boo? LOL
ReplyDeleteROFLOL!!
ReplyDeleteNot sure I could explain properly.... LOL
That was great, Stacy! The funny thing is, that out of all the snippets, here's what is stuck in my head: that POOR CAT! I can picture it. We had a little pekingese who wasn't afraid of anything - you had to move him aside with your foot when vacuuming. But remote cars? My boys took fiendish delight in terrorizing him.
ReplyDeleteMaybe tell your son that if he scares the cat, the cat will poop on his pillow? It might not be a lie - cat's have a way of holding grudges.
LOL, Lorinda! They have taken to the high ground whenever they hear the car. And one actually LIKES it. Crazy cat.
ReplyDeleteYou know you are going to have to exact your revenge on Jacob for getting that singing Lil Pet Shop toy, right?
ReplyDeleteOOOOH, YES!!!! Most definitely. LOL
ReplyDeleteI am still laughing.. Kids are soooo funny.
ReplyDeleteBTY... My hubby said the other day,"Who in the world, is Honey Boo Boo?" He said he heard the President talking about Honey Boo Boo, and had no idea? lol
ROFLOL!! TOO funny!!!!!
